SUNDAY
SCHOOL: We still call it Sunday
School because, over the years it has been the most effective way to study God's
Holy Word together. We offer age-relevant Sunday School classes as well as a few
non age-specific classes.
"Students" are provided a with a relaxed
atmosphere for learning and studying the bible. Many friendships are developed
in these small group settings. Classes often take on special projects as well as
having fellowships in homes and other locations. You will enjoy Sunday School!
MEN'S MINISTRY: Our Men's prayer group meets every Tuesday
morning at 9:30 in our Sanctuary to pray together. We have a Men's Prayer
Breakfast the first Sunday of every month at 8:30 a.m.. The men cook an
excellent meal and break into small groups to pray for specific needs of our
church family. We also participate in "Promise Keepers" Men's Ministry when
their yearly rally is fairly close to our church.
LADIES' MINISTRY: We have one of the finest
Ladies' Ministries around. We offer Bible Studies by some of the leading
authorities in Women's Ministry to include, Beth Moore, Mary Kassian, and
others. They also have mission projects that help with Local Ministries as well
as World Missions. Ladies are truly blessed by this Ministry.
SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY: Our senior adults are
called
"Prime-timers" which are age 55 and up. They meet for meals,
fellowships, road trips, special programs, and just good ole fun. Each age group
enjoys class fellowships on a regular basis.
YOUTH MINISTRY: Our Youth Minister plans year
around activities for our youth, grades 7-12. Their discipleship program meets
on Wednesday night, at 7:00 p.m. in our youth room. We have fellowships, lock-
ins, summer camp, Christian concerts, trips and many other activities designed
to encourage spiritual growth in our students. Our your people are important to
us because they are the church of the future.

also have and AWANA program for children on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m..
"Approved Workman And
Not Ashamed" is a discipleship program
with the emphasis on the study of God's Word, memorizing scripture, Mission
awareness, and team games. We have a Children's Minister that plans a monthly
children's activity, plus fellowships, a summer day-camp,Vacation Bible School,
and much more. Our Children's Ministry is one of the best in Fort Smith.
MUSIC MINISTRY : Music is a vital part of our
worship service. Our blended worship services feature familiar hymns of the
faith combined with current praise and worship selections. We have an adult
choir and children's choir. We offer opportunities for people to sing special
music through solos or with small groups and ensembles. Instrumental music is
also emphasized through offertory renditions and special events. Our goal is to
utilize our musical talent for God's glory, provide a blessing to those who hear
and prepare our hearts to hear God's message through the preaching of the word.
DISCIPLESHIP
TRAINING : We offer several semesters of discipleship training per
year. We call our sessions
"Get A Grip" (
Gathering,
Recognizing and
Identifying
Problems). Courses that we offer twice a year including
Parenting, Financial Freedom, Divorce Recovery, Soul-Winning, Marriage
Enrichment, and various Bible Studies. The goal of these classes is to find out
what the Bible says about each topic and to strengthen our family unit.
MISSIONS : Our church gives to the Co-operative
Program of the Southern Baptist Convention, our local association in Fort Smith,
the Community Clearing House, plus various benevolent needs in our community. We
have begun short-term local mission projects with the long range goal of
building a church in a mission area for God's glory. Missions are extremely
important to our church.
COLLEGE AND CAREER MINISTRY: We are excited about
starting this ministry this past year. We are very aware of how many young
people drop out of church after graduation. Our goal is to provide small group,
Bible-based, support structure that teaches God's Word as well as applies it to
daily living. We also have fellowships outside of the church in order to get to
know one another better and provide a clean, fun, atmosphere of Christian
fellowship. Our teachers for this special group are young, energetic, and use
the latest teaching methods to challenge our young adults.
CHILDCARE : Our babies and preschoolers are the
apple of our eyes. We realize how important a clean nursery with a positive
atmosphere is to parents. We provide child care for birth through three year
olds during all of our scheduled services. Our goal in the nursery is to provide
a safe environment for your child so you can worship without distractions.
