Rye Hill Church Family,
What an amazing Sunday we had at Rye Hill Baptist Church! God blessed us with 254 in Sunday School which is our highest attendance since we started back up the first of May. Praise the Lord! We also had another great crowd for Worship with 366 on campus! The break-down was 336 in the sanctuary, 22 in children’s church, and 8 in the nursery. We had several guests visiting with us, and a sweet couple joined our church by letter. Hallelujah! Bro. Phil has done a super job filling in while Bro. Steve has been on vacation. His special music was truly incredible and brought our people to their feet. Thank you Phil for a job well done. We also appreciate our Praise Team who are so faithful week-in and week-out. Our second Sunday evening Bible Study in the Book of Ecclesiastes increased in attendance. We covered the 1st chapter and will continue to study it verse by verse. We hope even more will attend in the coming weeks. We begin Sunday Night services at 6:00 PM.
Bro. Steve will be back in the church office tomorrow. We want to remind all choir members that he will begin choir rehearsal this coming Sunday, June 20th, at 5:00 PM. We want to encourage all of our choir members to start back up with us plus encourage any new members or anyone else to come join the Adult Choir team. A choir truly adds much to our Praise and Worship Service.
Don’t forget we started NEW church office hours today which are 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. If you have a prayer request or if we can help you in any way, please call or drop by the office. We want to remind everyone that Thursday, June 24th, is the deadline for applications to be turned in for our permanent part-time church office assistant. You can come by the church office for an application.
We are looking forward to our Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study and Youth and Children’s Discipleships; they begin at 6:30 PM. I will be teaching a lesson titled, “Abiding In Christ,” from John 15:1-13. We live-stream our services on Facebook but being there in person is much more personal. Come check it out for yourself if you can come on a Wednesday night.
I have moved our monthly “Body Life” meeting to Sunday, June 27th, because of some Long Range Planning business that we need to take care of. Sunday is Father’s Day, but we WILL be having Sunday Evening Services.
Our Vacation Bible School begins June 28th and runs through July 2nd. The theme is “Mystery Island.”
I was very proud of all who helped us man a booth at the Chaffee Crossing Farmers market last Saturday. We passed out 88 invitations to parents and gave popsicles to the children. Scriptures were shared, and we met a lot of people and prospects. Our next Outreach Event will be on Saturday, July 17th, at the same time and same place. Make plans to be there!
We hope you will stay cool during these hot summer days. It feels so good to see our church back to normal and mask-free. Have a blessed week!
