The Mission Continues

To update you, Perspectives on the world Christian movement is half-way through the spring semester. Please continue to pray for those who are participating. Check with me for details on how you can provide a light meal/heavy snack on a Monday night in April for around 20 people.

CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) has been allowed to continue at Alma Boys and Girls Club for the spring semester. We are thankful for that ministry and for those that serve including some from our church body.

One of the Sunday School Classes is continuing to minister at the Salvation Army by serving a meal once a month. Five teams of 5-7 people purchase, prepare and serve a meal to 40-60 people on that night. Each team is only required to serve twice a year. I am thankful for those who serve those in need.

Your Missions Committee is looking at local ministry opportunities by serving at CRM (Community Rescue Mission) in Fort Smith ministering to homeless families with children. There are several different ways that you can serve: answering phone calls, doing intake, helping prepare meals, taking residents on errands, hosting a fun/game night and ultimately becoming a life skills and spiritual mentor.

The Arkansas Baptist State Convention has asked us to participate and serve in a one-day local event on May 15th. I’ve already got us signed up, so be watching for how you can serve. We will come up with several different ways that you can be a part of this.

In our continuing journey to Fort Worth we are set to go again July 4th-10th. We will continue to serve people there by helping with VBS in corporate and home settings as well as engaging with legal refugee families.

Get these dates on your calendar, and if you have questions see me or any Missions Committee member.

May we be good stewards of the grace He has given us as we desire to see Him on display in all we do! This is a great time to pray with and to share our Lord to a hurting world!

In Christ,
Brother Scott
