Missions

In our continuing journey to Fort Worth we visited again in August and were able to be in two different homes.  We conducted VBS in these homes – one family is Congolese and the other family is Burmese – with the goal of not only teaching the children in the home, but equipping the adults to conduct the VBS in other homes. Thus, begins the process of reproduction and spreading the Gospel among those people groups.

Because you are such a giving church we will have collected, at minimum, 194 shoe boxes along with the funds of $9.00/per box shipping cost for Operation Christmas Child. These boxes are used to open doors in order to share the Gospel, and this is an incredible ministry partnership.

CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) has reached out to Rye Hill with an opportunity to serve area children on December 7th and 8th from 3:15 – 5:15 pm at the Alma Boys and Girls Club by helping with a Christmas Party for approximately 120 children – 60 each day. See me or contact Dick and Barbara .

A Perspectives Course will begin again on January 11th. Perspectives is a 15 week course that will take place on Monday evenings from 6:30 – 9:30 PM at Grand Avenue Baptist.  It is interdenominational and was created to equip believers for the task of carrying out God’s mandate of missions. You can find information at the website https://www.perspectives.org/.

We are in times like none of us has ever experienced and it is a global event. I have great hope that God is going to be revealed to the world because of this event. May we be good stewards of the grace He has given us as we desire to see Him on display in all we do! This is a great time to pray for, and to share our Lord to a hurting world.

It is truly exciting to be a part of all God is doing here at Rye Hill Baptist Church. What a privilege He has given us to join into what He is doing!

In Christ,
Brother Scott
