The Mission Continues

Because of KiDs Beach Club, the afterschool Bible program at Orr Elementary, we had opportunity to participate in the PTA sponsored Fall Festival at Orr on 10/10. We were able to pass out information inside the school during this event. This was a definite answer to prayer for getting information to the students. Four new students joined KBC after the Fall Festival. Then, on 10/22 during club, we had 4 students pray to accept Christ as their Lord!! Praise the Lord for what he is doing at the

Share Jesus Without Fear was presented during our Sunday evening services in October. We began 3 small group sessions November 1, with 28 participants. As your Missions Leader this excites me very much; when we become confident in our sharing, God uses it in ways we can only imagine. Missions starts right where we are and goes out from there.

Beginning January 13, and meeting on Monday nights for 15 weeks, Grand Ave. Baptist Church will host a course called Perspectives. This course addresses the call of missions to the church. The study works through the Bible and the mandate of going, the history of the church, a look at culture, and finally the strategy of how to engage others. I have been blessed to be a part of the team that makes it possible here in the Fort Smith area. Cindy and I participated in Perspectives in 2016. I can personally say “Wow,” what a life changing study. While you can attend one time at no charge, there is a fee for the entire course. You can find out more by asking me or go online to perspectives.org.

May we have much opportunity to share and to celebrate the meaning of Christmas with all those we encounter. What JOY we can have when we personally know the ONE whose birth we remember on the day called Christmas!! With all sincerity I thank each and everyone of you for all you do for my family and me. What an incredible privilege it is to serve here at Rye Hill.

In Christ,

Brother Scott
