Frankly Speaking
God never ceases to amaze me when it comes to His power and His blessings in the life of His church! We thank God and praise His Name for His favor on His people. For example: Recently, a local business gave us a generous gift. They said they just wanted to give back to their community. We will apply it to the principal of our building debt. Thank you Jesus!

We have had a totally awesome summer. Our attendance in Sunday School and Worship has stayed strong. Our baptismal waters have been moving. People are visiting and joining our church. Our summer camps and activities were outstanding! It has been a busy, but very productive summer in the life of our church. We want to thank God for everyone who had any part in making this summer’s ministries extremely successful. Our volunteers have done a super job supporting our activities and our church staff. Without you, we could not be as effective in ministry and touch so many lives with the love of Jesus! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for a job well done.

I cannot tell you how proud I am of our ministry staff. We are totally united and in one accord. . We really enjoy working together for God’s glory. If there is a need or something to be done, we all jump in and make sure it gets done. I also cannot say enough about our office leadership with Chuck and Sherry. On a daily basis they are busy with work requests from Ministers, leaders, and members. They get things done in a timely manner.  My sincere prayer is that God will allow all of us to work together for many years to come!

We have an extremely important teaching event coming up in the month of October. Each Sunday night Bro. Scott and I will be teaching an overview of the book, ” Share Jesus Without Fear”. I believe that this series has the potential for getting us to another level in ministry! We are commanded to carry out the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. This evangelistic tool will give us confidence in sharing the gospel while helping grow our church for God’s glory. This will be just teaching time with inspirational scripture to help you be able to lead someone to Jesus without memorization or homework assignments.. We are asking you to prayerfully consider being here all four Sunday nights. Then if the opportunity comes up you will be able to share the gospel with anyone God sends your way.

I have been certified in several witnessing programs. In my opinion, this is the best and easiest way to share your faith. There will also be some “role-play” witnessing situations, testimonies given, and a time of questions and answers. My prayer is that we will have a great Sunday night crowd these four special weeks. I promise you will enjoy this time of teaching and you will also go to the next level spiritually. At a later date, to be announced, Bro Scott will teach the full length class if you want to learn all the material, see the video, and have discussions. Our teaching notes on “Spiritual Warfare” are ready to be picked up in the office weekdays or in the breezeway on Sundays.

Can you believe that in November we will have been in our new Sanctuary for two years? Unbelievable!  We are blessed as a church to have such a beautiful place to worship and room to grow for God’s glory. Thank you to all who have given tithes or offerings to help pay for this wonderful place of worship.

On November 24, we are going to combine a two-year celebration and our Harvest Blessing
Sunday. You do not want to miss this exciting time in the life of our church or the awesome meal and fellowship we have! I believe God is going to bless us with being able to stay over 300 in Sunday School and climb towards the 500 mark for worship this fall. Please continue to invite family, friends, neighbors, and work associates to our church. I know our time is short here on earth and we really need to be busy doing the work of our Lord.

I need to thank all who preached and taught for me while I was on vacation. I had no concerns about being gone.  Lori and I greatly appreciated the time away. She is truly my rock, my helpmate, my best supporter, a great preschool leader, and I love her with all of my heart. I could not do all I do without her love and support! I love each of you dearly and pray nothing but the best for you and your family! Hope to see you in church this coming Sunday.
In Christ,

Michael Franklin
