“O give thanks to the LORD. Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works.” Psalm 105:1,2
One of the songs I learned at a very young age was “Praise Him when the sun goes down.” The lyrics went like this: “Praise Him, praise Him, praise Him in the morning, praise Him in the noon time. Praise Him, praise Him, praise Him when the sun goes down.” It is a wonderful reminder that God deserves our praise all throughout the day. I want to challenge you to make everyday a “Praise Day” to the Lord.
I am excited to have my brothers with us on Sunday night, August 25. We will be worshipping through song as we present this concert. Please come, and invite someone to come along with you.
We are in full swing preparing for “Celebrate the Gift.” You still have time to join our music team and get involved in this event. “Celebrate the Gift” is when we combine area choirs and instruments and celebrate the gift of music. It will be held once again right here at Rye Hill Baptist Church on Sunday night, September 29th. The Gospel-Fest Quartet will once again sing at 5:45, and then the choirs will sing at 6:00. Please mark your calendars as you do not want to miss this exciting time of worship.
I want to encourage all choir members to be at practice each Sunday evening at 5:00. We will be working on our Christmas music very soon. I’m looking forward to a great fall season as God continues to bless our music ministry. Have a wonderful day!!!
In Christ’s Love,
