2018-12-01 The Mission Continues

We will finish up “Share Jesus Without Fear” this month. Those participating are now more equipped to GO and TELL without fear. On a cold November 10, we had 19 people come for brunch and then go into our neighborhood as we continue to reach every home. We were able to knock on more than 70 doors.

The Mission Continues

December 1, 2018

In November FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) hosted a half marathon race. Mylea Holmes got to sing the National Anthem at the opening.“Kids Beach Club” which meets each week on Tuesday at Orr Elementary is going great. God has yet again shown us how He works. The Club normally meets in the storm shelter, but because it was election day the space was being used for voting. The team had to move outside to a pavilion for the meeting. The weather was great, but the amazing thing was that an after-school care program was outside as well. Some of the children wanted to know why they couldn’t participate; the answer is they can! All they have to do is sign up. Because we were outside, they became aware and asked, so a sign-up sheet was put into their hands. Three more have signed up since then. I am so thankful for RHBC and everyone who takes part in teaching these kids about Our Lord!

We had 6 folks go on the Journey to Fort Worth to be a part of the Thanksgiving meal for ESL students. I encourage you to actively identify someone who does not know the true meaning of Christmas and to share the real “Reason for the Season” with them.
